Who is Behind Kick Into Fitness? All About Me!
First, I'd like to thank you for visiting my site. I hope that the information I'm providing you is motivating you or someone you know on your journey to get in shape or stay in shape.
My name is Juliann. I'm a mother of 5 beautiful children...and that right there tells you that I've been pregnant enough times for pregnancy to take a toll on my body.
Let me start by telling you what inspired me to create Kick Into Fitness.com.
With my first two pregnancies I started out at 110 lbs. and I gained 50 pounds with each pregnancy! Good news is that after my pregnancies I lost all the weight and went back down to 110-115 lbs. Whew!
Six years went by before I got pregnant a third time and during those six years I gained a few pounds (about 25 to be exact). I started my third pregnancy at 135 lbs. and during that pregnancy I gained 20 lbs.
Not as much as the first two, but I ended up weighing about the same in the end, since I gained weight before getting pregnant.
Oh did I mention I'm only 5'3".
Then, while I was "trying" for my fourth baby, I was gaining weight. Where in the world was this weight coming from!? I have absolutely NO idea! Lol, I wasn't really watching what I was eating, I was just grubbin'!
By the time I finally ended up pregnant the fourth time I weighed 150 lbs.! This was pre-pregnancy weight. WOW, how did I let that happen?
During that pregnancy I only gained 12 lbs. I joked to my doctor that I gained all the weight before getting pregnant.
Well, I thought I was done having babies when I surprisingly became pregnant with my 5th baby :)
I started at 140 lbs this time and gained 22 lbs.
Fast forward to today and I'm currently fluctuating around 144-145 lbs. I want to lose about 10 lbs. I don't want to be as little as I was when I had my first 2 boys. I'm a grown woman and I want curves!
Now, WHY did I create this site...
I created Kick Into Fitness as a way to motivate myself to get in the best shape of my life and reminding myself why it's SO important. I have a family to take care of after all, I need all the energy I can get!
My husband lifts weights and has changed his body from slightly built to looking almost like a bodybuilder. People are always asking him if he's a football player or a boxer. He's aiming to gain more muscle. LOL...In a minute he's going to look like the incredible hulk!
I'm a woman, I want to look and feel sexy. I want to be toned with some curves.
I was looking for all types of information on diet and exercise and I kept bookmarking so many different sites.
It started to become overwhelming and I couldn't find my bookmarked information anymore because I had too many. That's when I decided to create my own site and put all the information on here that I was looking for personally.
It's like my online-journal.
I'm sure you understand what I mean, that's why you ended up on my site...right? Your looking for the same information I was looking for.
Just so you know, I'm not a personal trainer or dietician. I'm an information seeker who's determined to get in the best shape of my life and I'm inviting you to join me on this journey.
