Cardiovascular Exercises Will Improve Your Cardiorespiratory Endurance
Cardiovascular exercises will help improve your cardiorespiratory endurance and it involves using the large muscles such as your legs, while making your heart and lungs stronger.
These types of cardio exercises are also known as cardiorespiratory exercise, aerobic exercise or just 'cardio' for short.
Doing any sort of cardio involves movements that will increase your heart rate which will improve oxygen consumption by your body.
When referring to the word 'aerobic', it means something that needs oxygen. When performing cardio exercises or aerobic exercises, oxygen is continuously distributed to your muscles.
It's really such an important part of any exercise program to get in shape, lose weight or maintain your weight and it helps to prevent other diseases and disorders.
The Stronger Your Heart, The Stronger Your Body
Even if you're not really looking to lose weight, cardio is good for your heart and lungs.
Your heart is one of the hardest working organs in your body. It constantly stays working, pumping blood throughout your body 24/7. It doesn't stop...if it did, you wouldn't be reading this.
Cardiovascular exercises can be tiring and hard, particularly when you first start your workout routine. But, if you stick to it I promise it gets easier.
You should never push yourself too hard at first, just work your way into your workouts and gradually up the intensity levels.
