Exercises for Sciatica ~ STOP Suffering & Find Relief ~
There are specific exercises for sciatica that you can do to help relieve lower back pain. For starters, if you're having back pain, you need to be careful as to what exercises you perform so you don't hurt your back even more.
Keep in mind that what works for one person, may not work for another. So it's important to find what works for you.
Back pain can be caused by several things such as certain bad habits like slouching or from lifting wrong...it can also be caused by sciatica.
Doing the right sciatica exercises can help to relieve your back pain.
What is Sciatica?
Sciatica is when your sciatic nerve becomes inflamed. The sciatic nerve starts from your lower spine down through your butt, the back of your
legs and all the way down to your feet.
When you suffer from sciatic nerve pain it can feel like a slight tingling or burning sensation from your lower back down to your feet, or it
can be complete shooting pain. This can affect one or both sides at once.
This can happen if you suffer from arthritis, have a slipped disk or if there's a pinched nerve (just to name a few). These problems cause
the path of the nerve to narrow out which then creates an inflamed and tender nerve ending.
There's a muscle called the Piriformis muscle that is part of your lower
spine in your butt area. The sciatic nerve runs extremely close and sometimes right through this muscle.
When this muscle becomes tight, it usually puts pressure on the sciatic nerve which causes it to become irritated and inflamed. Sciatica is
what frequently causes lower back and leg pain.
You can find sciatica pain relief through sciatica exercises. Stretching is a great way to strengthen and lengthen your muscles to help
prevent or eliminate pain.
You can actually eliminate your back pain by keeping your back strong and healthy. To get the best results you can also do exercises for
sciatica everyday.
There are plenty of back stretches you can do along with
hamstring stretches to achieve sciatica pain relief.
A lot of times, having tight hamstrings and tight hip flexors is what leads to back pain later on, so you'll want to really focus on loosening
up those hamstring and hip flexor muscles.
You also need to keep your abdominal muscles and
hip flexors strong since this is the core of the body. Strong Core = Strong
Body.
The McKenzie Exercise Program is another great way to treat back
pain. These McKenzie exercises are tailored to reduce back pain by pin-pointing the cause of the pain, THEN properly treating it through
exercise. This actually may be a great place to start when looking for exercises for sciatica, since they're designed to reduce back pain.
Bottom Line: Don't Be the Cause of Your Own Back Pain... Stretch and Strengthen Your Muscles!
