Food Journals Lose Weight Faster!
Food journals are very effective for weight loss. Keeping a calorie counter journal will help you keep track of what you're eating
that way you can eliminate what's bad for you..
When you keep track of what you're eating, you have a better sense of what you're putting in your mouth.
Think about it, if you eat say...chips throughout the day, you're probably having a small handful here, a small handful there. You probably
think, oh a little bit won't hurt me. What you don't realize is that that small bite here and there add up to a few big bites you didn't need.
If you're serious about your health and want to loose those unwanted pounds, then you need to make sure that you're honest with yourself and
write down EVERYTHING you eat AND drink. I mean down to even a glass of water. This will help you see what your bad habits are that you
need to get rid of. We all have our weaknesses when it comes to food, so you're not alone.
If you're goal is to consume 1200 calories a day, it needs to be "healthy" calories. Don't be foolish and think, "oh, this snickers ice
cream bar only has 180 calories, that hardly cuts into my daily calories." LOL, that was one of my weaknesses, can you tell ;)
Healthy Calories is the Goal!
Food journals should be done daily by writing down what you eat and drink throughout the day while also counting your calories, but let's be honest...this can become tedious after a while. An online food diary might work a little better. An easy way to do this is by using the
Calorie Counter at MyFoodDiary.com.
The best thing about this online food diary is that it's always right at your finger tips. You can access your info from your computer or
right from your phone!
Creating your own calorie counter journal is the best way to hold yourself accountable for what you're eating while keeping yourself on track
to a healthier YOU. Using the online food diary will not only help you keep track of what you're eating, but it'll count your calories, fat,
fiber, sugar, etc. all for you.
Now, when you first start a food journal, take it easy on yourself. It's going to take time to break some bad habits and you shouldn't try to
break your bad habits all at one time. The reason is that you're more likely to results back to those bad habits.
Just Don't Give Yourself Too Much to Handle All At Once
If you do, then all you're going to end up doing is stress yourself out and then
you'll give up on your ultimate goal. Set some goals. Start with breaking one bad habit at a time...maybe you need to drink more water,
maybe you need to cut down on eating too much sugar, etc. You get the idea.
Start with one goal and move on from there. Doing this will help you focus on specific goals and not bombarding yourself with all these "bad
habits" you want to break. Over time you'll reach your ultimate goal and it won't feel like work, it'll soon become a "good" habit
you've formed.
