My P90x Results
~ Follow Me on My P90x Journey ~

Here, I will document my own personal P90x results. The P90x workout it definitely not easy. P90x will kick your butt into shape that's for sure.

So a Little About Me and My Body

Well, I'm 32 years young (smile) and I am a mother of 5 beautiful, high energy kids. I had my first baby in March of 1999, my second in May 2001, my third in February 2007, my fourth in August 2009 and finally my 5th baby was born in May 2011.

I've been havin' babies for the last 12 years! When I look at it, I've been pregnant every year from 2007 to this year, 2011. As you can see I took a break from '01 to '07, lol.

During these years I worked out here and there, never consistent though. Before my first I always weighed between 105 lbs. and 110 lbs. After my first and second I managed to go back down to 110 lbs. with no problem. Before I got pregnant with my 3rd, somehow (LOL) I gain 20 lbs., so I weighed 130 pre-pregnancy weight. Then before my fourth I weighed 150 lbs. pre-pregnancy weight and the same with my 5th.

So here I am today weighing in at 147 lbs. at 5'3" tall. I want to lose a good 20 lbs. I need to be able to keep up my with kids! I want to feel and look sexy.

OK, Enough About Me & On to My P90x Results Journey!

I will document my P90x results starting Monday July 18, 2011. I'll update daily for the first week then at 30 days, 60 days and finally with my 90 day P90x results. Yes I took before pictures, but I'm not ready to put them up just yet, LOL. Once I see some results then I will definitely put up the pics.

My Before Measurements:

Weight = 146.8 lbs.
Body Fat = 35.8% (YIKES!)
Waist = 35" (EWWWW!)
Chest = 37"
Hips = 42.5"
Upper Thighs = 25"

Looking at my measurements, I wouldn't mind keepin' some hips and losing at least 10" off my waist. I want to be curvy! I guess we'll see what happens, I should lose inches all over.

My 1st Week P90x Results

Day 1 July 18, 2011: Today was Chest & Back with Ab Ripper X. I started with the ab ripper and WOW my core is WEAK! I could barely keep up with the reps. It's 11 different moves with 25 reps each. I struggled getting to even 3 reps on some of the moves! I did go through the whole dvd though. Now, the chest and back I got through 10 minutes...um yeah, through the warm up and two of the first moves. Booooo!

Day 2 July 19, 2011: Today was Plyometrics. I got through 45 minutes. Very proud to get through as much as I did. It kicked my butt!! Man my legs were like jello when I was done. Lots and lots of jumping moves. Everythang on me was jigglin'! LOL! With all that jiggle, something should of fell off me...like this gut!

Day 3 July 20, 2011: Today was Shoulders & Arms with Ab Ripper X. My legs are sore, but feel good from yesterday. Very proud to say I got through it all! Ab ripper was still hard, especially with my stomach being a bit sore from monday. I didn't do any better with the reps, but I still went to the end. I went through all of the shoulder and arms moves. I made sure to use the weight that was enough for me, but enough to let me feel the burn.

Day 4 July 21, 2011: Today was Yoga X. I have to be honest, I was DREADING to do yoga. It seemed boring and it's so long...an hour and a half! But you know what, I actually ENJOYED doing it. I got through 40 minutes and it wasn't as easy as it looks. It felt really good stretching out my sore muscles. I've also been saying that I want to be more flexible and that I need to stretch more and yoga is the key. It was hard holding my body in those awkward positions, but I can see how you can become strong and flexible doing yoga. Definitely looking forward to it again.

Day 5 July 22, 2011: Today was Legs & Back with Ab Ripper X. Lots of squats, lunges and pull ups. I got through 38 min and I couldn't squat, lunge or pull anymore! It wasn't easy, but I broke a sweat and my legs were shaky. I just threw my hands up on a few of the moves, lol! With Ab Ripper X, I tried so hard to get the right form for each move but my core is so weak. I gotta realize that this is only my first week in, but at the end of the program I BETTER be able to it all with PERFECT form dammit!

Day 6 July 23, 2011: Today was Kenpo. Lot's of kicking and punching. I really liked this one, except on some of the combos, I couldn't even keep up! Hook, uppercut, flip, back kick, twist, turn, double time...LOL. All I could do was laugh when I couldn't keep up. There were lots of combos and it was really fun, the time flew by.

Day 7 July 24, 2011: Today was Stretch X or Rest. You know...I was GOING to do the stretching dvd since my body is ACHING, but I chose to rest.

So there you have it, I made it through week 1 of P90x! I'm so proud of myself! It was hard, but I know in the end it will definitely be worth it. As long as I stay consistent, I know I'll get stronger which will only make the workouts that much easier. Can't wait to update with my 30 day P90x results! See ya in 30!

My 30 Day P90x Results

Day 30 August 16, 2011: So I'm here to update with my 30 day P90x results. Well I'm very sad to say I have to give it a rest for a while. I injured my achilles tendon! DAMMIT! I hit it as hard as I could for the first 3 weeks straight and during this time I noticed that the back of my heel was getting more and more painful each day...especially when doing the Plyometrics workout.

Come to think of it, I didn't wear any shoes while working out. Since I was at home I figured I'd be as comfortable as possible . BIG MISTAKE. I think this is the reason I hurt my heels. There was no real support for my feet during these hard workout sessions. I DO plan on starting P90x all over again...WITH SHOES! This is a BIG "DUH" moment for me. I'm going to wait until I'm healed and I'll be back at it! So upsetting that THIS is my 30 day P90x results report :(

Did I notice any changes during the 3 weeks? Yes, I did. Ab ripper was very hard for me, this is the only workout that's done 3x's a week. There were certain moves that I couldn't even do one with decent form. Into the 3rd week I was able to do a couple decent reps and it felt a bit easier. I didn't see any change on the outside, but I DID feel some improved strength on the inside. So, I'm definitely sold that it works, I just need my time to heal my heel :) I'll be back soon with my P90x results.

NOTE TO THE WISE: WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES!
