PX90 or P90X..I'm sure you've seen the infomercials or heard about it from somewhere. Almost everyday I turn the tv on, at some point there is again...another infomercial.

Sometimes these infomercials are hard to believe because they use people that are already in pretty good shape (well, from what I can see). You see the transformation pictures and they always look amazing!

  • What Are the Workouts Like?

    Now, let me tell you. This ain't easy! You will need to be able to devote at least an hour of your time each day to see some real results. An HOUR! Yes that seems like a long time, but if you're as excited as I was, that hour really does fly by.

    It's not boring, it can actually be fun...but it's not easy. I was doing the program with my family. Me, my husband and kids. We were having a blast, the first day we were laughing because we couldn't really keep up with Tony Horton and the crew. We got tired quick, our muscles were burning, etc.

    The fitness guide breaks it down for you depending on what goal you're looking to achieve, whether you're a beginner, or for those that are looking to improve performance or those that are looking for weight loss. Each workout is broken up into 3 phases.

    The guide walks you through how to do your body measurements, taking your "before" and "after" photos, and also taking a "fit test" to see where you are fitness wise.

    This is NOT a lazy man's workout. I repeat! This is NOT a lazy man's workout!

    You're going to have to get up and get moving. You WILL sweat during this program, you WILL get stronger, you WILL see muscle definition AND you'll probably want to give up before really getting started. BUT how do you expect to see results if you don't "just do it"...


    My P90X Results: (as of 10/19/2010)

    I can't lie and say I finished the program. I didn't :(....BUT it's only because I found out I'm pregnant...yay...lol. What I CAN tell you is that even though I couldn't do it long enough to actually see physical results, I did notice some improvement in strength.

    From not being able to complete the ab ripper cd because it burned so bad, I was able to go through it with almost prefect form without getting burned out. From not being able to do even 1 pull up (I had to do the assisted pull up), I was able to do half a pull up. Go ahead and laugh! Half a pull up? YES, HALF A PULL UP. Even though I didn't do a full one, I was able to pull myself up half way, that still shows some increase in strength, so there! lol

    I do plan on getting back on the program once the bun is out the oven and I'll give you my official results then.

    Do I Recommend P90X?

    Short Answer: Yes.

    Long Answer: This program is not easy. It's going to challenge you. But hey, that's a good thing, right? So if you have the determination and will power to transform your body, then YES I recommend P90X!

    What's YOUR P90X Results or Opinions?

    How do you feel about P90X? Would you recommend it and why?

    This is for the ladies...Now I have a question for you. From the transformation pictures I've seen, the women (to me) kind of end up with a box shape. What I mean is I don't see curves in their hips. Don't get me wrong, there is NOTHING wrong with that, it's more of a physically fit, athletic build.

    Now, if you've followed my articles and what goal I have for myself, I want curves. So are there any of you who have done P90X and still kept your curves?

    I know that this is an excellent program for getting in the best shape of your life and I still plan on following it. I'm just wondering if it's possible to keep some curves while doing P90X.

    For the fellas...I've noticed from the pictures a lot of guys end up with lean muscle (which is obviously what you would probably achieve given the type of workouts) but were any of you able to "gain" more muscle from the program? Just wondering if it's possible to bulk up a little from P90X.
