You should eat more veggies than starchy foods for your carbs intake.

Don't get watching what you eat confused with starving yourself! You'll sometimes need to reduce the amount of calories you intake in order to see fat loss results, but...

Starving yourself won't cut it because our bodies will kick into survival mode. If you starve yourself and then you finally DO eat, your body will store this as fat to prepare for the next time you DON'T eat.

Choosing the right foods is the quickest way to lose weight, you can still burn fat while fueling your body.

Once carbohydrates are broken down by your body, the result is glucose, also known as blood sugar. So whether you eat a spoonful of sugar, broccoli, or a slice of bread, your body is going to break it down into blood sugar, your body's main fuel source.

Even though these foods are carbohydrates, the difference is how the body breaks them down to use it as blood sugar.

Simple Carbs vs. Complex Carbs

The difference between these carbs is how fast your body breaks them down to use it as glucose, blood sugar.

Simple carbs are foods such as syrup, sugar, and fruit. These types of carbs like fruit and table sugar are converted faster for a quick boost of energy.

While complex carbs are foods such as potatoes, bread, pasta and oatmeal. These types of carbs takes the body longer to break down, which in return keeps you full longer giving you a prolonged supply of energy.

When choosing carbs, your main choice should be complex carbs since you'll get more energy from it. The simple carbs give you a quick boost in energy, but it's followed by a "crash" feeling.

You'll get your complex carbs from starchy foods like pasta, rice, bread or from vegetables like green beans, peas and broccoli. The main reason to go from a diet full of starchy carbs to a diet full of fibrous, leafy vegetables comes down to the calories involved.

What was his secret? It was simple, he just replaced his starchy carbohydrate consumption with more fibrous carbs, vegetables.

This is one of the healthiest, quickest way to lose weight...it works!

Veggies for Fat-Loss

Just by switching up what types of carbs you put in your body, it'll automatically drop the amount of calories you intake. This will be followed by a significant drop in your body fat.

If you're looking for permanent, effective fat loss, then it's important to choose foods that make you full without piling on the calories.

Doing this, you won't feel deprived since you're eating full-filling foods, without the extra calories. Those types of foods are vegetables. You can actually eat a lot with less calories...unless you're deep frying them or drowning them in butter. Tastes better, but not healthier for you. Adding the butter or deep frying just adds the extra calories you're trying to avoid so that would be defeating the purpose.

You're probably thinks, "I'm not getting rid of my pasta or bread". You don't have to get rid of the starchy carbs, just eat them in moderation. Reduce the amount you eat at each serving. You can supplement the smaller serving by eating more vegetables. That way you still get to enjoy the food you love, but you're reducing the calorie intake.

Limit pasta, oatmeal, rice, bagels, bread, etc. and increase carrots, spinach, peas, lettuce, broccoli, etc.

Your Body NEEDS Carbs to Survive

The main source of glucose for your body is through carbs. Without glucose your brain cannot function. As a matter of fact, without blood sugar, you would die!

This is the reason your body definitely needs carbohydrates.

Start by getting rid of those extra calories by moderating the starchy carbs intake and increasing your vegetable intake.

Now BUILD SOME MUSCLE!

You don't just want the quickest way to lose weight and end up skinny, you still need some muscle tone. Whether a man or woman, muscles add definition and curves in the right places.

Losing body fat is one part of getting to a better body, but building muscle and increasing something like your bench press will get you on your way to a sexy, sculpted body!
